Design

David Preston Studio is an independent design practice operating between London and Suffolk. The studio has been in operation since 2009, during which time we have been fortunate to work with a wide range of clients, including: the National Trust, Universal Music, The Good Schools Guide, HM Prison Brixton, Rizzoli NY, Artmonsky Arts, Lund Humphries, and the Antique Collectors Club.

Prior to setting up the studio David gained a range of experience in different professional settings, first gaining experience as an intern with Landor, Why Not Associates, and Jannuzzi Smith. His first permanent post was working as an information designer with the award-winning BBC News Interactive team. Here he learned about the development of web technology and digital interaction design.

After 18-months with the BBC he changed track, going on to work with various boutique London design agencies, including Kerr Noble (‘Fifty Best Designers’, The Guardian), Studio Small and Praline. During this time he worked with a broad range of clients including large international brands (Toyota, Honda, Swire, BP), publishers (Phaidon, Bloomsbury, Prestel, Laurence King), renowned arts and cultural institutions (BAFTA, Heal’s, Modern Art Oxford, Margaret Howell), and new start-ups (Eager Drinks).
